By Public Transportation: Visitors can also opt for public buses or shared taxis departing from Amman's Abdali Bus Station. These buses and taxis offer a budget-friendly option for reaching Al Karak, with travel times ranging from (2.5 to 3.5 hours).



Directions From the Dead Sea:

By Car: If you are coming from the Dead Sea area, head south on the Dead Sea Highway (Route 65) until you reach the junction with the Desert Highway (Route 15). Continue on Route (15) towards Al Karak. The drive typically takes around (2) hours, offering scenic views along the way.

By Tour: Many tour operators offer guided excursions from the Dead Sea to Al Karak, allowing visitors to explore the city's historical sites and cultural landmarks with the convenience of organized transportation.



Directions From Petra:

By Car: Travelers coming from Petra can take the Desert Highway (Route 15) north towards Al Karak. The journey covers approximately (180 kilometers) and takes around (2.5 to 3 hours), offering stunning desert vistas and rugged landscapes.

By Bus: While direct bus routes from Petra to Al Karak may not be available, travelers can opt for buses heading to nearby cities such as Ma'an or Wadi Musa. From there, they can arrange onward transportation to Al Karak via taxis or shared vans. For ease, we would recommend organising private car rental or hire a driver to transport you to Al Karak on your return to Amman.
