Wādī Numeira


This remarkable wadi is renowned for its striking rock formations and breathtaking narrow passage known as a Siq. Locally referred to as "Water Petra" or Wādī Hudeira, Wādī Numeira offers visitors an unforgettable hiking experience amidst towering cliffs and clear flowing water.

Wādī Numeira's unique blend of natural wonders and archaeological sites makes it a must-visit destination for outdoor enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Embark on a (6.2-kilometer) round trip journey that takes approximately (2.5 hours) to complete. 

Begin your adventure by following the stream and encounter the iconic hanging rock, marking the start of the trail. As you traverse the narrow gorge, observe the sheer walls of pink sandstone that rise up to (150 meters) high, providing shade and shelter from the sun. Continue your hike through the impressive Siq, where the gorge gradually narrows, creating a dramatic landscape reminiscent of Petra. Along the way, you'll encounter a small waterfall, requiring a short climb over rocks to reach the inner valley.
